Change Blindness Demos
The change blindness (or rather change detection) demos below make use of the flicker paradigm and were used probe how adding color information to such scenes would affect the detection of salient changes that were not essential to the gist of the scene. To that end, more abstract image-pairs, without a readily nameable gist were included as well. These demos are examples of stimuli used in: Nijboer TCW, Kanai R, de Haan EHF & van der Smagt MJ (2008). Recognising the forest, but not the trees: the effect of colour on scene perception and recognition. Consciousness and Cognition, 17, 741-752. doi: 10.1016/j.concog.2007.07.008
